According to Ugyen Namgyel, an assistant lecturer at the college, the annual event has been gaining popularity and the college authorities credit the success to emphasis given to the spirit of sportsmanship in recent times.

The opening ceremony of the football tournament will also coincide with the 43rd Foundation Day of the college. The college, by organizing such activity also aims to achieve their theme of “Community Service, Engagement, Involvement and Development” and promote awareness on health and wellbeing through sports and physical activities.
