Drukair officially launched its new twice-weekly flights to Dubai on the 28th October 2024, marking a significant step in expanding the airline’s international network.

Drukair Expands International Network with New Dubai-Paro Route

The inaugural flight was attended by His Royal Highness Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, adding to the importance of this milestone event.

Drukair’s inaugural flight between Paro and Dubai was a jubilant celebration in both directions. Upon arrival, passengers were greeted with a traditional khadar, symbolizing a fortunate beginning to this exciting journey. Passengers onboard participated in a delightful cake-cutting ceremony and received special tokens to commemorate this momentous occasion.

This newly established route is set to enhance global connectivity, making travel more accessible for passengers from the Middle East and beyond. It is expected to play a crucial role in promoting tourism, trade, and strengthening diplomatic relations between Bhutan and the United Arab Emirates.

Flights from Dubai depart on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 4:00 AM, arriving in Paro at 11:40 AM after a stopover in Delhi. The flight time from Dubai to Paro, including the stopover in Delhi, is approximately 7 hours and 40 minutes.
