Bhutan likely to face India or Nepal in U-15 SAFF semifinal

Bhutan lost to Bangladesh 3-0 in the ongoing SAFF U-15 championship held in Nepal yesterday. Bhutan however emerged runners up of Group A.

Bhutan lost to Bangladesh 3-0 in the ongoing SAFF U-15 championship held in Nepal yesterday. Bhutan however emerged runners up of Group A.

At a post match press conference, the Bangladesh coach, Mostafa Anwar Parvez is reported saying that Bhutan was not an easy team. Defeating Bhutan, he said was part of their plan.

Bhtutan’s coach, Songjun Lee in the post match conference said that Bhutan played differently against Bangladesh. He said that the boys couldn’t perform like they played with Sri Lanka and added that the Bhutan’s U-15 is the title challengers. He expressed his interest to play against the host country Nepal in the semi final.

The assistant coach, Passang Tshering said that it was a tough game against the physically strong and superior team.

Bhutan is likely to encounter the winners of group B, either India or Nepal in the semi finals.
