Bhutan Crowned Best Healing Travel Destination at the Best BANG Awards 2025

The Best BANG Awards is an annual event that celebrates achievements in travel, hospitality, lifestyle, and destinations.

The prestigious event celebrated excellence across travel, hospitality, lifestyle, and destinations, spotlighting four core themes: Modern Lifestyles, Exceptional Brands, Urban Shopping Landmarks, and Hospitality & Travel. Bhutan’s recognition highlights the nation's exceptional ability to offer restorative and transformative journeys, shaped by its tranquil landscapes, rich spiritual heritage, and steadfast dedication to sustainable tourism.

Accepting the award, Bhutan solidifies its reputation as a sanctuary for wellness and self-reflection, inviting travellers to reconnect with nature and themselves. This accolade reinforces Bhutan’s commitment to its ‘High Value, Low Volume’ tourism model, safeguarding its cultural legacy and unspoiled environment.

"We are deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award, which is a testament to Bhutan’s unique offerings as a travel destination. This recognition inspires us to continue our mission of promoting transformative and sustainable tourism experiences," said Damcho Rinzin, Director of the Department of Tourism.

Looking ahead, Bhutan is expanding its outreach to diverse audiences and strengthening partnerships to showcase its unique traditions, culture, and unwavering focus on sustainable travel. These initiatives aim to inspire global visitors to experience Bhutan’s enriching and healing offerings.

Bhutan has recently won two other prestigious tourism awards: International Wellness Destination for Paro at the Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards 2024 and the Runner-Up for Favourite Overseas Destination at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards 2024

Over the past few years, Bhutan’s efforts to blend tradition with modern eco-tourism practices have captured international attention.
